Casey, to his credit, seemed appropriately skeptical of the idea of taking romantic portraits in a park, and frankly one can understand why. The phrase alone suggests something deeply regrettable: stiff poses, tragic hand placement, and the general air of people being made to frolic against their will. Fortunately, this was not that. Cassidy and Casey were playful, relaxed, and just irreverent enough to save the whole thing from sentimentality. Averill Park brought the trees and the view, the evening handled the lighting, and the two of them did the rest.
